This post contains the most popular Photoshop tutorials of all time, highlighting the stand out tutorials from the best design blogs worldwide.
Tutorials That Remain One Step Above the Rest
With hundreds of Photoshop tutorial sites around these days it’s easy to forget some of the classic posts that have shaped and inspired the community for years. These kinds of posts are in a sense timeless, and have inspired countless designers (including myself) to begin writing their own tutorials. For this reason they have received tens of thousands (even hundreds of thousands of views), often hundreds of comments, as well as being featured in publications the world over.
Whether it be exploring lighting effects properly for the first time, coming up with some truly extraordinary typography, or simply creating a kick-ass web layout tutorial, these tutorials remain pillars in the design community.
Whilst many of you may have come across these tutorials at one time or another, I find that it always helps to look back over the classics, and remind ourselves just why they’re so great. All of the people running these sites are great designers, and I strongly recommend that you go and check out their sites and subscribe to their feeds.
Apologies if I’ve missed out anyone’s site that feels they deserve to be here, but this post encompasses the main sites that have inspired me in the past and present. Feel free to suggest your own favorite tutorials, or other tutorials that you feel stand out from the crowd in the comments to this post.

Also don’t forget to check out the most popular tutorials right here at PSDFAN! I hope that you’ve enjoyed this list, and would love to know of your favorite tutorials that have inspired you over the years!
I would really appreciate a Digg or Stumble on this post, as it took quite some time to compile. Most of these websites do not have a ‘popular posts’ section, so I’ve trawled through all of their archives to find the most popular and inspiring posts in their history.
Comments appreciated too!
